The Animbot webstore were originally designed for an individual or company to purchase licenses for their own use, so the same entity controls the billing and license usage. When purchasing licenses for a third party, generally it's desired to separate billing from usage. The purchasing entity doesn't want to give end users access to the billing panel at animbot.ca/myaccount, where they can manage subscriptions, payments, invoices and renewals.
The purchasing entity should have control of the billing, while the end user should only be able to use the license. There's 2 ways to successfully purchase licenses for a third party.
Option 1 - Same email for billing and licenses (recommended)
That's the simplest option. Pick any email of your choice that you have access to its inbox, such as your_name@purchasing_entity or maybe an alias such as licenses@purchasing_entity, animbot@purchasing_entity or end_user@purchasing_entity. Make the purchase normally, enter the end user info only in the field "End user name or company", as follows:
The keycode and invoice will be sent to the email address indicated above. End users will need this email address and keycode in order to activate the license, they won't need access to the email inbox.
Option 2 - One email for billing, one email for the license
If the purchasing entity wishes to register an end user domain email, please enter it into the license email optional field:
In your billing panel at animbot.ca/myaccount, if you go to the "subscriptions" tab, you should be able to see and manage your subscriptions there and the end user will not have access to it.
* option 2 doesn't work for purchasing Lifetime Edition.
Keep in mind
It's not recommended that you make a purchase using the end user's email address in the billing email address field. This would create the billing account to the end user and you would be giving billing control to that user. If you made this accidentally, please contact us.
If an end user entity wants to purchase multiple licenses for their own users, it's imperative that a single email is stablished and definitely not recommended to set one email for each license, as this setup will generate problems down the road when this entity needs to transfer a license to another individual, for example if that individual leaves the company.
It's good to keep in mind that the best option for companies is the Enterprise Edition, however for teams with 10 users or less, individual editions may work just as well, with some limitations. More details in the article Can a company use individual editions?
